about

We Form A Shelter is the debut album from Brighton indie band, Anagrams.

Anagrams are David Wheeldon (vocals/guitar), Ollie Elmes (guitar), Chris Woolner (bass) and Iain Worrall (drums).

Recorded for the most part by the band themselves in a local school hall, the album takes a heartfelt look at the human condition, from paranoia and mental illness (Red & Green) to frustration and insecurity (1711, Dig A Hole).

Musically, there are echoes of the textured guitar work of Pavement and Radiohead, the space-rock of A Storm In Heaven-era Verve and the dense instrumental passages of Mogwai.

Having supported the likes of The Antlers, Wooden Shjips, The Joy Formidable and The Phantom Band, the band will be touring the UK through the early part of 2011 in support of the album.
